3:08PM - Toronto Zombie Walk

Fairly recently there was a zombie walk in Toronto Canada. A very talented photographer captured some fantastic images of a few of the marvelously made-up people. I believe I may be able to do makeup that could come close to this quality, but I doubt I'd ever look as good as a zombie as these people did....

4:33PM - dreams

I often have dreams that share thematic points or scenery. In one, I dreamed that I was walking from down town, and was crossing the railroad tracks. Then, to get where I needed to be, I cut through this abandoned building with lots of squatters in it. I had to cut through this large bathroom, and the residents had made it kind of like a cross between an art gallery and an obstacle course. You had to crawl through certain pieces of art to get from one door to another. The other night I had a dream with a similar place, but the place had been cleaned out. The whole of downtown was post-apocalyptic with burned out buildings and stuff, and the gallery/bathroom had been cleared out. I was a little disappointed by that.

I would like to take this opportunity (while I'm still NICELY drunk and my ears are ringing) to thank everyone who made my birthday celebration a highly enjoyable one. Dinner was a smash success, and club was perfectly awesome. Thank you, thank you all.

2:50PM - update

On Wednesday of this week I got my CPAP machine. For those of you who don't know it's a machine that helps me breathe when I'm sleeping. I suffer from sleep apnea, which can be somewhat bothersome and cause a host of other problems. I've used it twice so far (of course). Neither time did I make it all the way through the night without pulling it off. I slept 5 hours the first night, and maybe 4 last night with it on. I suppose I should be pleased that I'm getting even that much, but it will take a lot of getting used to. I have actually been sleeping some after I take the mask off at night, which keeps me from being totally exhausted. Even with the broken sleep, I am feeling a bit better. We'll see how it progresses. With this mask over my nose at night, though, don't be surprised if I shave off my mustache just for comfort sake. I may look funny, but I'll be more comfortable sleeping.

My dreams have also been very odd. The one common theme in the dreams is that I'm out of place. The first one was me moving back into a previous residence, but I didn't have any belongings. I didn't even have a space of my own. I was back to couch-surfing (more or less). I woke up feeling sick, depressed and angry from that. The one last night was a bit better. I had stuff, but it was all packed up and the boxes scattered around. I know this means something, but I'm not really introspective enough to understand it totally.

I'm looking forward to my birthday festivities over the next week. I've got a couple things planned with different people. I'm likely to be more social than normal, but that's a good thing, right? It really makes me feel good knowing that there really are that many people out there that like me, and care enough (or would LIKE to care enough) to come to my celebrations. My parents sent me some money for my birthday, I think I may spend a li'l of it for some ice cream.

***edit*** Well, apparently I'm supposed to be on oxygen at night as well. I just found out about that today when they called to set up delivery of an oxygen accumulator machine. I like surprises but sometimes they're not wholly welcome, you know?

4:05PM - early reminder

Just as an early reminder, I'd like to see everyone getting together for my birthday on October 18th. The place will be Tucanos downtown, I'm thinking 7 PM. Afterward, club and drinking and partying. There will be other reminders to come. I'd like to know who all is coming so we can give Tucanos a heads up, just in CASE we fill up the whole place. Heh.....that would be cool! Spread the word!

Ok, so I guess recently there was a bowling tournament between some furries and some trekkies. No matter who lost, we all win after watching this video taken from the event. Enjoy.

7:19PM - two weeks.....

Well, in 2 weeks I'll be turning 39. I don't know what kind of celebration I'm going to have. I DO know that lately I'm really bad at planning things. For this I must turn to you, my dear friends, my dear readers. Help me plan my birthday party. The actual day is the 15th, which is a Monday. I'd like there to be some drinking, I'd like there to be some food. We're a really bad venue to have a party over here at my home right now, so I just don't know. Does anyone have any ideas?

How do people feel about the 18th? It's a Thursday night, we can go to maybe Tucanos downtown then go to club afterward. Opinions?

Film Savage announces open casting call for September 29 & 30.

ALBUQUERQUE, NM – September 21, 2007 -- A two-day casting session will be held to select up to 4,000 specialty extras to participate in a feature film to be shot in and around Albuquerque, from November 5th thru Feb 1st.

DATE: Saturday SEPT. 29TH & Sunday SEPT 30TH TIME: 10 AM TO 6 PM

LOCATION: FILMSAVAGE OFFICES, 4421 McLeod NE, Albuquerque NM 87109.

DIRECTIONS: From I25 & I40 take I25 North to the Jefferson Exit go East to McLeod Turn West or Right. 4421 is the second building on the Right.

The Kable Productions, GAME, starring Gerald Butler, is a futuristic action thriller, depicting a world where video games and reality TV have merged into an interactive blood sport.

During the casting call, we will be choosing a special group of skilled combat-ready men: prisoner-types to participate in a special training camp for the movie which will be held Oct. 22-26th, specialized training will be offered (this is a paid training camp for weapons and fighting techniques) and we will be picking a core group of men to work as special warriors during the film.

Needed are men and women of all ages including: young people , (early 20’s and 30’s )–Rave types, cool & stylish people -- freaks and “normals” and all in between. We will be populating a futuristic city, and stylish and unusual types are sought during this casting call.
